Information about the Channel and the Game:

iBenBrown plays Pokemon Sleep is a channel where I share daily content of Pokemon Sleep gameplay, tips, and commentary while I play the Pokemon sleep mobile game. Pokemon Sleep is a sleep tracking app combined with a mobile game. The game is the main draw though, and I would probably enjoy it even if it wasn’t Pokemon.

Each week you meet a new Snorlax, and you recruit pokemon to help you conduct sleep research. Five helper pokemon on your team provide berries to feed to snorlax directly as well as ingredients to make meals three times a day. Each pokemon also have a Main Skill that helps make snorlax stronger directly or indirectly. Each pokemon has a randomly assigned nature. The nature makes your pokemon better at some things and worse at other things, or has no impact. Each Pokémon also has a randomly assigned set of attributes called Sub Skills that impact how well they contribute to strengthening the Snorlax.

Because of the randomized natures and sub skills, the specialities and types of the various pokemon, and their sleep styles, players have little control over how quickly they progress in the game. The games also occasionally hosts week long events that may alter strategic gameplay and prioritization of progression.

iBenBrown plays #PokémonSleep aims to teach players to think about how to play the game rather than telling them what they should do. Much of the success of the game comes from a combination of making the most of what you have and getting extremely lucky, making it a fun but sometimes frustrating game to engage. As the channel progresses, we will offer guides for beginners and advanced players, conduct analysis of various components of the game, and offer strategies to consider.

Each video follows a similar format: the video starts with a topic to help educate the viewer, then showcases a pokemon from my account (until we’ve been through the main ones I will be using), then shows my daily research session, and lastly evaluates any pokemon that we recruited during the session.

iBenBrown has a year of experience playing the game and often advances quickly to the maximum research rank limits due to his aptitude for the game, making him an ideal mentor for new and veteran players. He played the game for seven months as a free to play (F2P) player, but then became a Premium Pass subscriber. Having a premium subscription gives marginal advantages to players, but does not drastically alter the overall strategies. Time spent playing the game is the biggest differentiator for someone who has progressed far verses someone who has not, whether you find optimal pokemon or not you will naturally continue to progress in the game every day that you play.

iBenBrown is not directly affiliated with #PokemonSleep. I am just a fan of the game and hope to connect with others who also enjoy it, sharing advice and humor along the way. Video production is low budget (no budget, haha). I prioritize efficiency over quality as I am an amateur when it comes to video production and YouTubing, but I also hope to continue to improve ‘the product.’ Wow, if you’ve read all of this, you should please subscribe if you haven’t. Thanks for checking out what this is all about, and happy researching!
