Huge Brown Trout at Deer Creek State Park, Rainbow Trout, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass and Largemouth Bass! Deer Creek Fishing 6/1/2021 UT Utah State Parks. We woke up early. We launched the boat right as it was getting light with hopes to get some early morning top water fishing in for Largemouth and Smallmouth bass. We started out with poppers and crankbaits. We had quite a few strikes, but only a couple of hookups. Not too long after the sun hit the water, we started trolling with crankbaits and dodgers. Right away, we started picking up Rainbow Trout and Walleye. We trolled a ways with good success, and then we lucked into a big Brown Trout. We finally got it into the net, and it turned out to be the biggest trout Dad had ever caught! It was so big, it was hard to get it in the net. We kept on trolling, picking up Rainbow's, Walleye and Smallmouth Bass. Then we switched over to bottom walkers and worm harnesses. The color didn't matter, they were happy to get a worm. They were all pretty small, but healthy and fun to catch. We picked up quite a few fish. Most of them we released. We kept about 6 for dinner.
