"Herman Carter, recognized for his psychological aptitude, underwent specialized neuroscience training at Léry's Memorial Institute, a clandestine CIA facility disguised as a research institute in Illinois. There, under the tutelage of Dr. Otto Stamper, Carter honed increasingly brutal interrogation techniques, utilizing electroshock therapy to extract information from prisoners. While these methods proved effective in uncovering threats to national security, they also raised serious ethical questions regarding their legality and the treatment of detainees. The institute's operations abruptly ceased when it went silent for a week. Upon investigation, a scene of carnage was discovered: all personnel, patients, and prisoners were found dead, primarily the result of head trauma. While the body of Dr. Stamper was recovered, Herman "The Doctor" Carter was nowhere to be found, leaving his fate and involvement in the massacre a mystery."
