Plastic pollution is pervasive across the world and overwhelming our oceans. Marine life and all forms are life are being detrimentally impacted by plastic pollution. I started in an initiative to pick up plastic waste from the most vulnerable areas to prevent plastic from entering our oceans. This video highlights one of the #pickitupplastic campaign events with my friends at Lake Pontchartrain in New Orleans. We picked up 45 pounds of plastic and glass waste from the lake side and prevented it from going into the lake and eventually the Gulf of Mexico!
