Degenerative disc disease (DDD), also known as spondylosis, is a common result of the aging process.
⠀
Not every case of DDD will cause debilitating pain, but the process may cause certain affects that will impact daily life, including loss of muscle and joint strength.⠀

👉 These exercises are geared towards helping to improve strength in the spinal joints and muscles.⠀⠀
⠀
👉 They may help improve lost flexibility, endurance, and aid in better support of the spine.⠀⠀

THE BIRD DOG:⠀
1️⃣ Start on all fours.⠀
2️⃣ Make sure arms inline with shoulders, knees are straight under the hips, back is straight.⠀
3️⃣ Slowly, raise one leg so it's in line with the back. ⠀
4️⃣ Return to starting position, then repeat on other side.⠀
🔁 Repeat for 3 sets of 10 reps (each side).⠀

CAT-CAMEL:⠀
1️⃣ Start on all fours⠀
2️⃣ Make sure arms inline with shoulders, knees are straight under the hips, back is straight.⠀
3️⃣ Round the back, hold for 5-10 seconds⠀
4️⃣ Then sway the back, letting the stomach sag towards the floor. Hold 5 to 10 seconds.⠀
🔁 Repeat 5 times.⠀
