BTS announces 2026 comeback album and world tour
After a long four-year wait, as the boy band and K-pop sensation BTS completed their mandatory military service in South Korea, the group has announced both a new album and a world tour for 2026.

All seven members released solo music and albums throughout the band’s hiatus, but this will mark their first new album together since “BE” dropped in 2020.

The new album, titled “Arirang,” has already broken records months before its set to release.

On Spotify, “Arirang” hit 564,000 pre-saves in 24 hours and surpassed 2 million pre-saves in 4 days. It has become BTS’s largest pre-saved album and marked the largest opening day on Spotify’s Countdown Albums chart.

“Arirang” became the fastest to reach number one on Spotify’s Countdown Chart in just two days, surpassing the previous record from “The Life of a Showgirl” by Taylor Swift.

The album will feature 14 new tracks and has been described as a “love letter to ARMY,” the BTS fanbase.

ARMY has long been awaiting the return of BTS as a group, and their love for BTS’s music has stayed strong despite a four-year hiatus. As HYBE Labels and BTS announced their comeback, ARMY sent a four-year-old song called “Run BTS” back to the number one spot on the Billboard.

This wasn’t a one-time fluke either. Just a few weeks before, BTS’s song “Anpanman” from 2016 (released nine years ago, and four years before “Run BTS”) also reached the same number one spot on the Billboard chart.
