Checking Out The Bay Of Fundy At New River Beach Provincial Park

In the summer of 2024, Stuart and Missy embarked on a memorable week-long camping trip to New River Beach Provincial Park in New Brunswick, Canada. This picturesque park, nestled along the stunning Bay of Fundy coastline, offered the perfect blend of natural beauty and outdoor activities for the adventurous couple.

New River Beach Provincial Park is renowned for its breathtaking coastal views and diverse recreational opportunities. The park boasts a massive beach that stretches along the Bay of Fundy, providing visitors with ample space for relaxation and exploration. Stuart and Missy set up their rustic campsite, immersing themselves in the park's serene environment and enjoying the sounds of nature.

During their stay, Stuart took a leisurely stroll along the beach, marveling at the majesty of the Bay of Fundy. This world-famous bay is known for its extreme tidal range, with water levels fluctuating by up to 16 meters twice daily. The couple timed their beach walks to witness this natural phenomenon, observing the dramatic changes in the landscape as the tides ebbed and flowed.

One of the highlights of their trip was the 2024 New River Beach Sand Sculpture Competition, which they were fortunate enough to attend. This annual event showcases incredible artistic talents as participants create intricate sand sculptures along the shoreline. Stuart and Missy were amazed by the creativity on display and even attempted their modest sand creation.

The park offered a variety of activities beyond the beach. The couple explored hiking trails that wound through coastal forests, providing stunning vistas of the bay and surrounding islands. They also took advantage of the park's kayak rentals, paddling along the coastline and discovering hidden coves and inlets.

While dogs are not allowed on the main beach, Stuart and Missy found plenty of pet-friendly areas in the park to enjoy with their furry companion.

As their week at New River Beach Provincial Park ended, Stuart and Missy reflected on their incredible experience. The park's natural beauty, combined with its range of activities and the awe-inspiring Bay of Fundy, had provided them with a perfect summer getaway. They left with fond memories, stunning photographs, and a deep appreciation for this gem of New Brunswick's provincial park system.
