Fame perks are broken down into broad categories [of which there are fame perk trees for each] of video and brand, popularity, and career. There is also a fame tree for both negative and positive reputation sims. For each fame perk tree you'll need to purchase all lower-tier perks before you can buy higher-tier perks.
