"Jonny Appleseed" is what God called me back in 2012, telling me that I would share the seed of Christ and His Word with the world, and that He would be multiplied from the good soil of my broken heart. I had only the image and the promise at that time, the seed form of the works He had prepared for me from the foundation of the world. He lead me to a wife who fears Him, and has fulfilled every promise since nearly a decade ago when He first called me by this name. This song is a testimony of how I searched for meaning and hope in all the wrong places and it nearly killed me more than once. God had mercy on me, The Light of Christ shone on me, and out of death and chaos He has wrought life and meaning. I owe Him everything for sowing Jesus Christ into my death, that I might reap His eternal life. When We lay down our lives for His sake, we can reap what He sowed instead of the futility that we were born into. "In Him was life, and that life was the light of men." He gave everything for you because He is real and He loves you.

is a song testifying to the biblical truth that everyone will reap what they sow, and that Jesus Christ sowed HIS eternal life into our sin and death, so that anyone who believes in Him can have eternal life. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, but the free gift of life through Jesus Christ is for anyone who will humbly call on His name and receive Him. The forgiveness of God, and right standing with God forever is only found through The Son of God, Jesus Christ, through His sacrifice for our sin, and His resurrection for our justification.

The original and real Johnny Appleseed was also a missionary, and Johnny Appleseed (John Chapman) was widely admired for His generosity and leadership. My earnest prayer is that God would lead me to the fulfillment of His word in my life, that Jonny Appleseed would be like Johnny Appleseed, sharing the truth of God through the gospel of Jesus Christ, with the generosity of God's own heart and Spirit.
