Hotbed part 2, older manure for warmth loving plants outside

Описание к видео Hotbed part 2, older manure for warmth loving plants outside

Homeacres is zone 8 but 51N latitude, and summer days average 21C/70F, barely warm enough to grow aubergines, peppers and melons outside.
In this video you see the result of growing them on a heap of older horse manure, age 2-3 months when moved outside in late May.
This manure had served as contents of a hotbed in the greenhouse, for plant propagation (see other videos).
After filling this pallet structure with the manure, we walked on it and then spread 15cm/6in compost on top before planting in late May/early June.
By autumn the manure has become compost and we spread it on garden beds. There are no weed seeds!
