Hi my name is Kayla Craddock, a 17yr. old resident in Matteson, IL. I was recently chosen as a National American Miss (NAM for short) State Finalist. This is my very first big pageant, and I was super excited when I got the news. NAM is an organization for young girls ages 4 and up to express themselves and proud of who they are and encourage them as future leaders. Its designed to help girls develop empowering poise, self confidence, capability to speak in front of a live and large audience, practice speaking professional in an interview with an adult, and become more actively involved in their community, all of this I wish to gain and improve in. With your help I can reach my goal and be able to participate in this years NAM pageant and hopefully when our states title and represent our state in the NAM National Competition. Many people get confused because there are many misconceptions with pageantry. They'll try to compare it to pageants like toddlers and tiaras, which is a GLITZ PAGEANT! This particular pageant is ALL about the NATURAL you so it is age appropriate, children under the age of 12 are NOT permitted to wear makeup (of course lipgloss and stuff like that), NO FAKE ANYTHING FOR ANY AGES! ITS ALL NATURAL, which is why I am proud to say and advertise myself as a finalist in such a pageant.
