A Color-Coded Framework for Writing
This is my simplified, four-part, color-coded structure for writing articles, posts, or ads, based on StoryBrand principles.

1. Red: The Customer's Frustration (The Problem)
Purpose: Clearly state the problem or pain point the customer is experiencing.

This should be the customer's problem, not your own.
"I can't get people to my website."
"It's hard to do digital marketing."
"It's hard to keep your floors clean."

2. Black: Empathy & Reinforcement (Understanding the Problem)
Purpose: Acknowledge the customer's frustration and show that you understand their struggle.

Validate their feelings ("Yes, we understand that is hard.").
Mention that you have experience with this specific problem.
Empathize with how difficult the situation is.

"We've helped people solve this problem before, and we know exactly what you're talking about."

3. Green: The Action Plan (The Steps/CTA)
Purpose: Provide a clear path for the customer to follow to solve their problem.

GIve them a three-step plan
The steps should be concrete and easy to understand.
The final step should be the primary Call to Action (CTA), involving you or your service.

Look over all the marketing you currently have.
Identify what works and what your customers respond to.

4. Blue: The Ideal Future (The Successful Outcome)
Purpose: Describe the positive results and the desirable future the customer will experience after following the steps.

Paint a picture of what life looks like once the initial problem is gone.

"You will know that you're not wasting your marketing budget. You will know that you are spending your money wisely, and your marketing is working the way it should."

So here is the quick summary to cut and paste:
Problem (Red): State the customer's frustration.
Empathy (Black): Show you understand and have experience with their problem.
Steps (Green): Give them a clear plan to fix it, ending with your call to action.
Future (Blue): Describe how great things will be after the problem is solved.
