China has pledged $51 billion to support debt-laden African nations over the next three years, focusing on infrastructure, agriculture, and industry. President Xi Jinping, speaking at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing, promised to create 1 million jobs and triple the number of infrastructure projects. Of the pledged amount, $210 billion will be provided through credit lines, while $70 billion will come from fresh investment by Chinese companies. Smaller funds will support military aid and other projects. This initiative aims to boost cooperation between China and Africa while promoting the internationalisation of the Chinese yuan.
