We toured two Elite Tiny Home designs - perfect for going off the grid in NZ | GridFree Connections

Moving off the grid in NZ requires a lot of planning! We want to help simplify the process so you can make a smooth transition - that's why we're launching our new series ""GridFree Connections"". In this series, we'll do the research for you and find a range of business that have products or services to make going off the grid easy.

In our first episode, we interviewed Elite Tiny Homes (@elitetinyhomes), a family-owned small business based in Auckland, NZ. Sally and Dan, the dynamic duo behind the company, have a mission to create affordable, eco-friendly, and relocatable tiny homes. Their tiny home designs can include many features suitable for off-the-grid living such as solar panels, rainwater tanks, and composting toilets!

"The reduced financial costs is something which often gets highlighted to us and there's also areas where you can't connect to the main power source and that's where GridFree really comes in and spades. There's a lot of people wanting to slow down their lifestyle and live more rurally and not be in the traffic or the rat race so much.
