Ryan Pollastro discovered faux painting as a teenager shortly after moving to New York City from Denver, Colorado in 1995. He had the honor of learning the craft of faux painting working under Pierre Finkelstein’s guidance. Today, he runs his own faux painting company, Ryan Pollastro Decorative Painting, while living as an artist, musician, and surfer in Santa Monica, California. He has worked out of Art Share L.A.'s artist studios for the last seven years.

Art Share L.A. Oral History Project
Beginning its release as a part of The Ellsworth Collection exhibition, this oral history project will not only catalog the life of Terry Ellsworth, but the rich history of the DTLA Arts District before and after gentrification.

Terry Ellsworth was a historian and an Ambassador not only for Art Share L.A., but for the Arts District as a whole. He collected not just art, but the artists themselves. To honor his legacy and carry on his spirit, Art Share L.A. will be conducting interviews with friends and family of Terry and his connected community.
