Dell XPS 15 with UHD 4K Display Review

Lisa Gade reviews the 2015 Dell XPS 15 with the UHD 4K display. We look at the top of the line model that sells for $2,500, though the 4K model starts at $2,000. The XPS 15 UHD has the 2.3 GHz Core i7-4712 Intel 4th generation Haswell quad Core 28 watt processor, as do most mobile workstations. It is thinner and considerably lighter than most workstations and competes with the 15” Retina MacBook Pro, HP Omen 15 and even the Razer Blade to a certain extent. The machine has switchable graphics with Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics and the NVIDIA GT 750M 2GB DDR5 dedicated graphics. It’s available with up to 16 gigs of RAM, an HDD or mSATA SSD, dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and a very good backlit keyboard. The 4.4 lb. (2.01kg) laptop is made of aluminum and carbon fiber.
