HONDA PCX 2023 the new generation of a urban scooter

The PCX represents yet another success story for Honda in Brazil and worldwide. Launched in the national market in 2012, produced at the Honda factory in Manaus, AM, the scooter immediately reached the consumer public's preference. Since then, it has been the best-selling model in its category in the Brazilian market, a continuous success that is due to an intelligent formula, which combines a strong, modern design with compact dimensions, in addition to the traditional avant-garde technology inherent in all Honda products.

Fuel economy, robustness, excellent performance, ease of use, practicality and comfort are synonymous with the PCX, a model that for 2023 receives a powerful renovation in fundamental items such as engine and chassis, but without losing the character that made it the main reference of its segment.

Admired by an audience made up of both novices and more experienced handlebars, the PCX caters to people who use it for leisure as well as for transportation or work. She is a real “joker”, competently serving all purposes of use. The well-designed piloting position and the practicality of the compartment under the seat are outstanding elements, which combine with the excellent construction quality and unbeatable cost-benefit ratio.

The innovative Idling Stop technology, aimed at optimizing consumption and reducing pollutant emissions, which debuted precisely on the PCX launched a decade ago, is preserved in the new model, whose engine received an important upgrade. Belonging to the eSP -- enhanced Smart Power generation, it now has the “+”, which indicates the evolution contained not only in the increase in cubic capacity and the resulting increase in power and torque, but also marks the arrival of the four-valve cylinder head, technology which aims to make the model more efficient, including from an environmental point of view.

The increase in performance made it necessary to introduce a new chassis, more robust and capable of meeting the higher performance level. The new structure brought unprecedented specifications to cycling in general, highlighting in this context the increase in tire size and new adjustment of suspensions.

The set of all these technical modifications added to the renewed style, in addition to several other practical improvements, make the Honda PCX 2023 an effective evolution that happily preserves the original philosophy of the model, in short, improving the quality of life of the people who choose it. as a means of locomotion.

The new PCX preserves the model's strong personality, but features a bolder style that underscores its novelty status. In this respect, the redesigned LED lighting is a striking differentiating factor, but not the only one.

There are three versions of the model for 2023: PCX CBS, PCX ABS and PCX DLX. In all of them there is the Smart Key option that operates the ignition and opening the seat and also triggers an anti-theft alarm. The differentiation between the versions is also given by the braking system, CBS -- Combined Brake System in the entry model, while in the PCX ABS and DLX the system is the ABS -- Antilock Brake System --, of one channel.
