Spreading fertilizer, sowing winter wheat and waiting for rain.

Описание к видео Spreading fertilizer, sowing winter wheat and waiting for rain.

Homesteading on raw land with a pack of lamancha milking goats, a flock of heritage turkeys, Easter egged chickens and two rez pups.
Come along and see what we’re doing in the garden spaces. We begin with removing spent tomatoes and send them down to the piles of brush that we’ve created for a natural habitat for wildlife.
Next, Charles begins by weedeating the taller grass that’s grown up to clear space to spread turkey and chicken manure.
This area has always been low nutrient and produces poorly. So we do our part by raising the nutrient levels in the soil. This simple step should ensure a better quality of produce for future harvesting. The video concludes with hand sowing/ casting wheat seed on an area of land that has been overgrazed by the goats. We were right on time because the skies opened up and the rain keeps coming. No complaints here because our cistern was mighty low.
