Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here from etrailer, and today I'm in Boyden, Iowa at the Demco headquarters and manufacturing facility where we got to see Demco products made. And these are all products that I handle on a daily basis when doing flat tows, fifth wheels, or even couplers. They cover so many different towing products, and they have plenty of experts here to break down some of their products a little bit more, to give you some understanding as well as allow me to ask those questions on products that I handle every day. Carter, Demco offers safety cables, and you got a few different applications or as far as capacities and lengths, what all do you offer Yeah, so we have three different weight ratings. We offer up a 7 thousand pound capacity, a 9.8 thousand pound capacity, and a 14 thousand pound capacity.

All three of these options do come in different lengths from 42 inches up to 60 inches depending on what length you need for your trailer application. Each of these do have the feature of the coil. The coil is very nice when you are disconnected from your truck or whatever you're towing your trailer with. These actually will coil back up and prevents it from dragging on the ground. Same thing if you do have them hooked up, obviously the excess cable will stay in that coiled state so it does not drag when you are connected up.

Capacity is pretty straightforward. How much weight do I have Obviously go maybe a little bit more over that, it's never gonna hurt, but as far as length, I mean, being that it's coiled, how do you determine the proper length for your application Yeah, so length is a big factor especially if you do have brakes on the trailer itself. You definitely want to make sure that the emergency cable is a shorter length than the safety cable itself. You want to make sure that that emergency cable gets pulled in a breakaway situation. You don't want it to rely on the safety cable or safety chains itself.

That way you won't have a situation where you do have a breakaway situation, and the brakes are not applied on the trailer itself. So you could take your breakaway switch, pull that out, see where you're at, Right. and then go from there. Yep, you can definitely measure it based on that emergency cable itself. Excellent.
