Dire Straits: Love Over Gold - Comparison and commentary - Vertigo, Simply Vinyl and MOFI

I happened to be reading through an old Absolute Sound issue and was looking at the famous Superdisc list of recommended records, and had to marvel at just how influential it was and still is 40 years later. Some titles that were mentioned in the Popular category have received Audiophile reissues in the recent past, including David Crosby's "If I Could Only Remember My Name", Eagles "Desperado" and this, Dire Straits "Love Over Gold", all reissued by MOFI and other in editions. I decided to revisit the album through the three copies I have on hand, an early UK Vertigo label issue, Simply Vinyl's edition and the latest 2x45 MOFI. Hope you enjoy this little comparison.
