Stocks, Inflation, rate hikes: Market is pricing in a 50% rate hike by end of this year:

Investors are waiting on August's CPI print due out tomorrow — Wednesday, September 13 — ahead of the Fed's September meeting next week. Wells Fargo Investment Institute Global Investment Strategist Veronica Willis outlines her predictions on the Fed's inflation-dependent interest rate outlook. "We're going to see CPI probably tick up a little bit, not surprising with what we've seen with prices recently," Willis explains. "Prices would have to be coming down in order for inflation to continue coming down for the rest of this year. And that's just not what we've been observing." Willis emphasizes the Fed's commitment to its 2 percent inflation target, while also discussing how markets are taking into account fresh economic data, various industry headlines, and the overall recession outlook.
