Kizlyar Supreme Survivalist X Field Review

Kizlyar Supreme Survivalist X Field test. I tested Kizlyar Supreme's Survivalist X fixed blade survival knife to the maximum in the field under real conditions: cutting and chopping into sand impregnated coconuts; exposing the entire knife to the sea to test for corrosion; chopping into seasoned eucalyptus hardwoods; cutting palm fronds and bracts; slicing up raw chicken etc etc. The Kizlyar Supreme survivalist never let me down. The Survivalist X is a full tang knife that can also be cord wrapped (my idea, not theirs LOL). It wasn't a surprise at all that I liked this knife as the current hollow handle survivalist series also has this same great blade shape. The sheet is 5mm and that's more than thick enough for tough jobs. The heat treatment gave it a excellent resistance to edge damage. I never sharpened it before cutting up the meat either.
I'm pleased to say I was asked to comment on early designs of this knife, and that many who asked for a fixed bladed version of their hollow handled knives, their wishes have come true as this company really listens to their customers.
Lifetime warranty, that says it all.
