Brecon Beacons Wild Camp on Picws Du | Llyn-y-Fan Fach Sunset & Sunrise

A Vlog of a recent wild camp on the summit of Picws Du overlooking Llyn-y- Fan Fach In the Black Mountain range of the western Brecon Beacons.

The hike start point was a layby on the side of the River Tawe on a road north of the Tafarn-y-Garreg pub, situated on the A4067. Coordinates: 51°52'11.1"N 3°40'01.8"W.

From here I crossed the River Tawe and followed the path to the right of the Nant-y-Llyn river upstream for 1.5 miles to Llyn-y-Fan Fawr.

I then summited Fan Brechiniog before crossing over the plateau to reach Picws Du. The hike length was just over 3 miles and involved 1,700ft of ascent.
