This is a very functional build of a mining rig that flies.

Usually, when you start out you will build a stationary drilling rig with pistons and a large cargo hold. I took it a step further and installed thrusters to that stationary rig so that I can fly to each ore location and mine it.
The rig can drill up to 40 meters deep
