White Fur Clouds | 1989 | Written and Filmed by Joyce Ronald Smith

Rosalie Causa is 87 years old and one of the last women to have the knowledge of making garments from strips of the Show Shoe Hare pelt.
These garments are made by women of the Dene people of the sub-arctic region of Canada. The technique used is of unknown origin and shows no influence due to contact with the European settlers.
Rosalie Causa lives in Fort Providence on the MacKenzie River and is a member of the Slavey group.
