A few decades ago, a scroll was discovered, in great condition, in a sealed urn underground the ground in the north of China. The scroll showed stick figures doing the eight simple movements in this set, indicating that the set as done here is at least a couple of thousand years old, though of course it could be much older. It's a good basic daily qigong sequence that hits the major organ systems and meridians. With some variations, it is widely know, practiced, and useful.
