Repairing NVA Zeiss Ferngläser 7X40 Binoculars LIKE A PRO!

The Zeiss DF 7x40 was the binocular provided to the NVA National Volksarmee (People´s National Army) and the Ministry of Interior (MdI) in East Germany. It was produced during the 60´s and the 70´s to be replaced after 1980 by the roof EDF 7x40. The binocular is single coated, but some models at the end of the 70´s can be found with T3M multicoatings. Similar designs are produced by IOR in Rumania and ZRAK in former Yugoslavia. My 7x40 was manufactured in 1972 and has single coatings.
The binocular is equipped with a mechanism to enable an IR detector on the left eyepiece and a socket for the reticle iluminator device on the right side.
