Описание к видео I'm 38 Weeks Pregnant and Feel Nauseous!

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and feel nauseous!

I’m assuming you haven’t had nausea and vomiting all through the pregnancy or else you wouldn’t be asking about it.

That would be insane.

No, that would be a rare form of morning sickness that lasts for months and can land you in the hospital, but the upside is it nearly guarantees you’re having a girl.

That is one sex indicator I am glad I’ve never known about.

Remember that you have a pretty big stomach bug in there putting pressure on your stomach.

I could blame the baby on vomiting in the first trimester, but I’m in the third trimester.

That growing load up front will put pressure on the organs behind it too, so you can feel ill as the baby puts pressure on the stomach and pushes acid back up the throat.

That’s just bad reflux.

That indigestion you feel when you lay down at night can take the form of nausea during the day. That’s why they suggest having more but smaller meals during the day.

I know that laying on your back also cuts off circulation.

Try eating less and staying away from high carbs or fat that make the acid worse.

Or there’s a different cause.

If you have very slowed down digestion and constipation, the gas can make you feel nauseous too.

If it were that, I’d both have the bad constipation and cure by eating a bowl of oatmeal.

Have you had any back pains lately?

I’m nine months pregnant. That’s kind of a given.

If you are in early labor, with the uterine contractions putting pressure on the whole lower abdomen, you may feel nauseous.

I thought that early labor was mistaken for back pains.

It often is, but you may also feel nauseous due to the pressure the contractions put on the stomach. Some women actually have diarrhea or throw up.

Or they have a stomach bug.

If you have a fever, then yes, you’re sick. If you feel nauseous or even throw up or super poop and then nothing else comes out, then there’s another cause.

Or the food I ate that made me ill has passed.

But if you feel the nausea and then the cramps are getting worse, you may be in early labor.

Assuming nothing else is wrong.

If you had a bladder infection, you could have pelvic pressure and cramps that feel like food poisoning, but I’ve never heard of it causing nausea.

A bladder infection would also mean I had gone too long without treating a urinary tract infection.

There are other things like gall bladder disease or pancreatic problems that can cause nausea, and while you shouldn’t eat for two, the load of pregnancy can make those organs work really hard. If it isn’t food-borne illness or labor, you need to talk to a doctor about it.

That seems to be true no matter what else is going on.

But nausea is most likely to be due to indigestion at this stage unless you’re in labor, and if you’re in labor, the queasiness is the least of your concerns.

Do you think those motion sickness bands will make a difference?

Only if the baby bouncing around on a rough car ride is making you feel ill.

Since I’m ruling that out now, now I’m down to go to the hospital and find out what is causing it.
