This is Europe’s former tallest gas container, which was active during the period of industrialisation in the Ruhrgebiet in Germany. At a height of 117,5m, you can also admire the most amazing views from the viewing platform at the top of the structure.

Alternating exhibitions take place at the ‘Gasometer’ in Oberhausen. At the moment, YOU can discover ‘Planet Ozean’ - an immersive experience with the largest projection mapping display in the world. Admire the display from the lift which takes you up to the best views over the whole of the region.

The immersive experience teaches you all about the effect of humans on the ocean. Discover moving photography and immersive light and sound displays.
