The concept of a mesh-current is introduced. Mesh-current analysis is introduced with voltage polarities defined before KVL is applied. The first system of equations is solved by substitution. A second example is done with a current source on the outside of a loop. The third example has a voltage-controlled current source on an inner branch. The current source is dealt with by using the loop that encloses the current source (sometimes called a supermesh, but it is just an average mesh). The system of equations is solved using a matrix method.
