Damiano's Mate | Checkmating Pattern - Daily Lesson with a Grandmaster 181

Описание к видео Damiano's Mate | Checkmating Pattern - Daily Lesson with a Grandmaster 181

The Damiano's Mate is a checkmating pattern that occurs when a Queen delivers mate on the h or a-file, supported by another pawn or piece. The escape squares of the King are either controlled by enemy pieces, blocked by its own pieces, or both.

In this chess lesson, GM Hovhannes Gabuzyan shows how Damiano's mate pattern arises. You will also see how to set up this mating pattern with the help of simple and advanced examples.
