In this video, I explain the formula or calculation for figuring out the buying power or capital required when selling naked puts or naked calls in a margin account, and how buying power changes while you are in a trade, and how questrade doesn't use actual market price, but last closing price to determine maintenance excess required for that day, so if you find that your buying power changed drastically from one day to the other, it is most like because you sold a naked option on a stock that had a hard move for that day, so you could find yourself the next day in a margin call, when you didn't make any new trades.
