'Nehru Gifted Coco Islands Of Northern Andaman Islands To Myanmar' | Andaman BJP MP Candidate

Port Blair (Andaman & Nicobar): BJP candidate for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bishnu Pada Ray, sharply denounced the Congress party in an interview with ANI on April 14, alleging that it has constantly taken an anti-Indian posture. Additionally, he claimed that Myanmar had improperly acquired Coconut Island, a portion of the Northern Andaman Islands, from Jawaharlal Nehru, the country's first prime minister. Bishnu Pada Ray praised the Central Government for its actions, which included building two defense airports and a shipyard in Campbell Bay to strengthen security and offset China's influence in the area.
“Congress has always been anti-India. Nehru gifted the Coco Islands which were part of the Northern Andaman Islands to Myanmar, which is currently under China's direct control... They did not worry about the islands in the 70 years they were in power... Today, the central government is constructing a shipyard, and two defence airports to counter China in Campbell Bay... No Congress leader ever came to the island group, but Modiji came here regularly”, said Bishnu Pada Ray.
