My Beatles Playlist!    • The Beatles

In this Two Of Us guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play this simple acoustic track off of The Beatles' Let It Be album.

The tuning is standard tuning, E A D G B E.

We have two acoustic guitars here (played by McCartney and Lennon). The will play separate guitar parts for a lot of the song and it sounds great when you put them both together. George is also adding really cool bass lines on the Fender VI bass, but we won't be covering those, just the guitar stuff.

The intro is played by McCartney and uses a repeated sixth interval played across the G and high E strings. The way he played this lick on the recording is slightly different than the way he plays it more recently in concert and I will demonstrate that difference. McCartney also plays the chorus differently these days, I will show you how it is played on the original recording and the way he plays it live now. I prefer the original.

The chord work for the verse is pretty much identical for each guitar parts.

The main differences come in the bridge section that happens a couple times in the song. Paul plays different voicings of the chords in the bridge that what John did. John also adds some quick strummed rhythm bursts in there as well. I will demonstrate both guitar parts.

All-in-all, this track is a lot of fun to play while still being relatively easy as well. Have fun! Carl...
