This particular transmission came from my 2004 CTS-V with the LS6.

Some variations of the T56 have a different shifter mechanism attachment, so that section may be different from yours.

At 5:23, you'll notice that the 5/6 gear comes off very easily. This should have required a puller to remove and this loose fit was one of the things I fixed during the rebuild.
