Watch Water Resistance Explored - Featuring 116 Wet Watches

Описание к видео Watch Water Resistance Explored - Featuring 116 Wet Watches

A viewer recently asked me to do some tests of my water resistant watches and I decided to let all of my watches get wet together. Among the watches featured in this video are G-Shocks, Wave Ceptors, ProTrek and other Casio watches. They are all rated as "Water Resistant" but most of them are also said to be resistant up to 50 meters, 100 meters or 200 meters. So, what's the deal?

In a previous video I talked about the way some watch collectors don't seem to trust Water Resistant ratings at all. Some folks seem to be cautious about exposing any watch to water unless they carry the most extreme certification for underwater use. Well, in my experience with water resistant watches over the past several decades I've never worried about exposing them to water. And here's a quick demonstration of just how confident I am that these watches can all have a swim party together.

In this video I put a total of 113 watches into an aquarium and let them sit there while I finished the video. In addition, two watches were briefly dunked into the water. Finally, the watch I was wearing went into the water when I reached in to retrieve all of the others at the end of the demonstration. In total, 116 watches went under the water and they all survived the experience.
