Clearwater working on Tyne try to keep the Tyne Shipping Corridor clean the Port of Tyne has secured the future of the Clean Tyne Project, originally set up as a partnership between the four councils of Gateshead, Newcastle, North and South Tyneside and the Port of Tyne – the Clean Tyne Project has the remit to remove debris from the river and improve the water quality.
The Port of Tyne has secured the future of the Clean Tyne Project, originally set up as a partnership between the four councils of Gateshead, Newcastle, North and South Tyneside and the Port of Tyne The Clean Tyne Project has the remit to remove debris from the river and improve the water quality. The Clean Tyne project works to remove around 400 tonnes of debris from the river between Blaydon and the piers and down to mouth of Tyne each year.
