Lowrey DSO-1 Heritage Deluxe demonstration - the famous Beatles organ!

Steve from Vintage Keys demonstrates our Lowrey DSO-1 Heritage Deluxe.

A totally valve-based amp and tone generator, with circuitry similar to certain aspects of a Hammond Novachord (Sustain function)

Functions demonstrated include: Leslie speaker (built in), external signal processing, AOC Automatic chord function, Repeat and the infamous (and downright strange) chime stop!

This model dates from 1965 and was recovered from a rubbish dump. It is in enough working order to be able to use pretty much completely, with some charming and characterful glitches and faults. The amp has been overhauled but the internal workings - an absolute rats nest - are at the end of a very long to do list.

Please note that these valve organs are incredibly dangerous inside (brain meltingly high DC voltages) , and we don’t recommend you poking around inside one if you don’t know what you are doing. As with all electrical devices, there are parts of this that can kill.
