This morning, I went deep into the forest to harvest bamboo shoots.
It’s hard work, but it's part of how I survive — to feed my son, Bon, and keep our little life going.

But deep inside… I couldn’t stop thinking.
His mother — my mother-in-law — came to my house yesterday while I was away.
She didn’t say why.
Was it about the money I still owe her? Or… something else?

I’m trying to stay strong, to keep going…
But the worry won’t leave my chest.
