Sonic Adventure DX (PC) - Emerald Coast Sonic speedrun in 59.65

Sub 1 in this level has always been an unattainable benchmark to me, that was reserved for only the fastest few runners, but thanks to a recent discovery by SQeefy and setup by Niczur, there is now an additional second you can save in the whale section. Shortly before this new strat had been found, I had coincidently put a bunch of time into this level and got my time down to 1:01, so I knew that I now I was now very close to breaking the 1 minute barrier. I was able to get a 1:00.60 pretty quickly with it, but saving those final few tenths took me a lot longer than I was hoping. I was lucky I got this run going with a very good start and then a low speedpad bonk that knocked me directly into the checkpoint after the whale section, which allowed me to segment the run there without losing any time. After a decent middle section, which I managed to get in one segment, I was now about a second ahead of my previous time, so I just had to finish up a half decent final checkpoint. Very happy to finally have gotten rid of the 1: in this stage
