Hiking Croagh Patrick 'The Reek' | Ireland

Croagh Patrick nicknamed the Reek is a 764 metre Mountain in Co. Mayo. Croagh Patrick is an important site of pilgrimage for many people. Care needs to be taken whilst hiking and trekking poles are invaluable due to the loose rocks and steep incline. I had never used hiking poles before and knowing what I know now I would not attempt this hike with out them. The views are some of the best in Ireland.
