Dr. Shyam Verma a well-known heart specialist goes to his friend Narendra / Naren’s (Vijayendra Ghatge) marriage. On the way, he is acquainted with an air hostess Radha and falls for her. Later, they again face the wedding since Radha is the mate of the bride Rama. Just after, she too loves him and they intimate under the influence of alcohol. After reaching home, he finds his father on his deathbed and he compels him to marry his friend’s daughter Rukmini. Knowing it, Radha quits though she is pregnant. After a few years, Shyam visits Srinagar with Rukmini where he encounters Radha and is also aware of their kid Dipinti / Dolly. Then, Shyam divulges the happening, overhearing it, benevolent Rukmini solves the puzzle by coupling them. Years roll by, 3 of them lead a delightful life and Rukmini dotes on Dipinti as ever. Dipinti loves a young guy Amit Mehra. Being cognizant of it, Amit’s father Advocate Mehra opposes and denounces Dipinti. Despite, several requests and negotiations of Shyam & Rukmini Mehra deny. At that time, Dipinti is carrying then Amit boldly steps forward and marries her. Here, Mehra files up a case by claiming the alliance as invalid and also nullifies the relation between Shyam & Radha. Hence, Radha decides to leave the house along with Dipinti when Rukmini commits suicide and provides integrity to Radha. Finally, Mehra also repents, honors the sacrifice of Rukmini, and accepts Dipinti.

जाने-माने हृदय रोग विशेषज्ञ डॉ. श्याम वर्मा अपने दोस्त नरेंद्र/नरेन (विजयेंद्र घाटगे) की शादी में जाते हैं। रास्ते में उसकी मुलाकात एयर होस्टेस राधा से होती है और वह उससे प्यार करने लगता है। बाद में, उन्हें फिर से शादी का सामना करना पड़ता है क्योंकि राधा दुल्हन राम की प्रेमिका है। इसके बाद, वह भी उससे प्यार करती है और वे शराब के नशे में अंतरंग होते हैं। घर पहुंचने के बाद, वह अपने पिता को मृत्युशैया पर पाता है और वह उन्हें अपने दोस्त की बेटी रुक्मिणी से शादी करने के लिए मजबूर करता है। यह जानते हुए, राधा गर्भवती होने के बावजूद नौकरी छोड़ देती है। कुछ वर्षों के बाद, श्याम रुक्मिणी के साथ श्रीनगर जाता है जहाँ उसकी मुलाकात राधा से होती है और वह अपने बच्चे दीपंती/डॉली के बारे में भी जानता है। फिर, श्याम ने घटना का खुलासा किया, जिसे सुनकर दयालु रुक्मिणी ने उन्हें जोड़कर पहेली को हल किया। साल बीतते गए, उनमें से 3 आनंदमय जीवन जीते हैं और रुक्मिणी हमेशा की तरह दिपिंती को पसंद करती है। दीप्ति एक युवा लड़के अमित मेहरा से प्यार करती है। इसकी जानकारी होने पर अमित के पिता एडवोकेट मेहरा दिपिंती का विरोध करते हैं और उसकी निंदा करते हैं। कई अनुरोधों और बातचीत के बावजूद श्याम और रुक्मिणी मेहरा इनकार कर देते हैं। उस वक्त दिपिंती गोद में होती है तभी अमित साहसपूर्वक आगे बढ़ता है और उससे शादी कर लेता है। इधर, मेहरा ने गठबंधन को अमान्य बताते हुए एक मामला दायर किया और श्याम और राधा के बीच के रिश्ते को भी रद्द कर दिया। इसलिए, जब रुक्मिणी आत्महत्या कर लेती है और राधा को अखंडता प्रदान करती है, तो राधा दीपंती के साथ घर छोड़ने का फैसला करती है। अंत में, मेहरा को भी पश्चाताप होता है, रुक्मिणी के बलिदान का सम्मान करता है, और दीपंती को स्वीकार करता है।
