Armenian Wedding at San Lazzaro degli Armeni in Venice Italy

Each nation has its own sacred places, which are of a great importance. For the Armenian people, such a place is the island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni, where an Armenian Catholic monk took refuge during the confrontation between Venice and the Ottoman Empire.

Couple Hovhannes and Ani, traveling two months around the world, decided to hold a wedding on this sacred island.

The ceremony was organized at the highest level, despite the tight deadlines.

The church wedding and the subsequent celebration were very warm and sincere. The celebration was attended only by the closest. In a narrow circle, the couple said to each other "Yes" and tied their souls. After the ceremony, guests were waiting for a ride on gondolas. In the evening, there was a dinner with views on the beauty of the Grand Canal, which delighted everyone present.
