In this video, I use the film Saltburn (2023) as a springboard into discussions of ideas around class, accenticism, and the nature of luck and merit - partly informed by my own experiences of attending 'Oxbridge'. Despite thoroughly enjoying my time studying at Cambridge, I was (and remain) conscious of the challenges of being in such environments, especially if one's way of speaking, or perceptions of taste, mark one as not quite belonging. Something worth considering further...
