The electric version PEUGEOT e-2008 has exclusive design elements that visually distinguish it from the versions with combustion engines through small peculiarities: Depending on the angle, the lion emblem changes color to blue or green. The letter "e" adorns the front fender and extends the model name by "e-2008" on the tailgate. And the radiator grille with horizontal applications has the same color as the body.

As usual from the French car brand, the PEUGEOT 2008 also has the intuitive PEUGEOT i-Cockpit ®. It consists of a compact steering wheel for a sporty driving experience, a large HD touchscreen and a new, depending on the level, standard instrument cluster with 3D effect - the world's first in the SUV segment. The ultra-modern instrument cluster reacts dynamically to the situation and shows important information in more detail. This improves the driver's reaction time by half a second.

The touchscreen, up to ten inches (25 cm) in size depending on the equipment line, is located in the middle of the fittings above the practical piano keys, the toggle switches. They can be used, for example, to activate navigation or the phone with just one action. By carefully positioning the elements of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit ®All information is always in the driver's natural field of vision and the controls are in an intuitive place.

Fully electric: the new PEUGEOT e-2008 In

addition to the versions with a combustion engine, the new PEUGEOT 2008 is also being launched in a purely electric version: the new PEUGEOT e-2008. This has an electric motor with 100 kilowatts (136) PS, which develops a maximum torque of 260 Nm from a standstill and enables a quiet and vibration-free ride. During the journey, the central screen and, depending on the level, the standard 3D instrument cluster in the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit ® provide real-time information on how the drive train is working.

The driver can use the gearshift lever to select different settings for braking behavior with which the battery installed in the vehicle is charged. With the moderate modethe braking feel is similar to that of a vehicle with a diesel or gasoline engine. The enhanced mode allows the driver to control deceleration using the accelerator pedal only.

The high-performance heating resistor with five kilowatts, which is powered by the battery and converts its electrical energy into heat, enables optimal climate comfort. A heat pump and automatic temperature control inside ensure a pleasant and comfortable driving experience. The improved energy efficiency compared to a conventional air conditioning or heating system conserves battery capacity and thus improves the range balance. The seats can be heated depending on the level of equipment.

For cold winter or hot summer days, the interior temperature in the new PEUGEOT e-2008 can be regulated with the MyPEUGEOT ® app or via the touchscreen before you set off.

With the large battery with a capacity of 50 kWh, the new PEUGEOT e-2008 can cover a distance of up to 310 kilometers according to the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure). It is housed in the vehicle floor, which is why the new PEUGEOT e-2008 offers the same space and boot volume as the versions with a combustion engine. In addition, the battery warranty is eight years or 160,000 kilometers, based on 70 percent of the charging capacity.

The new PEUGEOT e-2008 can be easily charged in everyday life in three ways: At a reinforced Green Up ™ socketLegrand ® , the charging time is 16.5 hours to full capacity. A charging cable is included for charging at a normal household socket. With a home charging station, the so-called wallbox, three-phase charging (11 kW) takes five hours and 15 minutes and single-phase charging (7.4 kW) takes eight hours. At a public charging station with a 100 kW charging station, the battery charges to around 80 percent of the range within 30 minutes.

Easy-Charge enables various charging options. The battery can be charged at home or at work thanks to a wide range of accessories (including a reinforced socket and a smart wallbox). A service team advises on the respective options and accompanies the process through to complete installation.

Easy moveensures the mobility of the customer: The Trip Planner application available from Free2Move Services shows the driver the optimal route to the charging station, taking into account the remaining range and the available charging stations on the route. The route is displayed directly on the touchscreen. In addition, customers can rent a vehicle with a combustion engine at any time with the Mobility Pass and thus receive an expanded mobility offer . In order to adapt his driving style to an optimal range, the driver receives tips on environmentally friendly driving via the MyPEUGEOT ® app.
