This comprehensive resource dives deeper into applying EMDR at home.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic approach that utilizes bilateral stimulation, often in the form of eye movements, to help individuals process and reframe traumatic memories. The purpose of bilateral stimulation is to facilitate the mind's natural ability to connect and integrate various aspects of a traumatic memory, leading to a reduction in distress and improved emotional processing.
Via this video, you can practice eye movement exercises at home.

1. Take silent breath movements: in the nose, out-nose.
2. Reimagine your trauma and associated thoughts as vividly as you can.
3: Start following the movement of the light ball with your eyes, ensuring you keep your head still (and tap into the table rhythmically or use any other form of BLS). Adjust the pace of the ball according to your needs in Settings (Playback Speed). Do not make it too fast, and do not make it too slow so that you can get distracted. You can also use the "Loop" video option in the settings to make it last until the end of the session. I recommend that each session last between 20 and 60 minutes, depending on the experience, trauma, and emotions you are dealing with.
4. Incorporate positive thoughts, beliefs, and imaginations for grounding whilst keeping the eye on the ball.
5: Reassess your thoughts and angles of your previous self and give advice and appreciation.
6. Relax and end the session with deep breaths.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Do not start applying EMDR at home without any previous experience with an EMDR-licensed therapist. If you have a dissociative disorder (diagnosed or undiagnosed yet), EMDR would be too dangerous to use; therefore, we would not suggest starting it without the supervision of a professional.

Stop if you feel any kind of eye pain.
