During his most recent public appearance, King Charles provided a crucial health update.
The monarch, who is now battling an unidentified form of cancer, paid a visit to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick on Wednesday to launch a new medical centre and speak with patients.
During his outing, Charles met a patient called Matthew Shinda who is being treated for prostate cancer.
When questioned about his recovery by Shinda, Charles said, "I'm not too bad," according to Hello! Magazine.
Shinda did, however, tell Charles about the delays he had throughout his diagnosis. To which the father of Prince Harry and Prince William said, "I'm very sorry about that."
He went on to say, "It's so frustrating."
"Half the problem is detecting it, isn't it, in time," he said.
Charles later stated, "The great thing, I think, is they're getting better and better at dealing with these things."
"The trouble is there's always hope down the road," he told me.
On the other side, Charles spoke with another patient, who informed him that she was "wearing out."
Charles said light-heartedly, "I know, this is the terrible thing, as I am discovering already."
"The bits don't work so well when you get past 70," King Charles observed.
