It's that time of year again - the time when we start looking ahead to the next year and all the potential comic book movie greatness that it might bring. From Marvel to DC and everything in between, there are plenty of movies based on our favorite comic books in development. Here are some of the most anticipated comic book movies 2022!

Black Panther 2

With the success of Black Panther, it's no surprise that a sequel is already in the works. While plot details are still under wraps, we do know that the film will once again follow T'Challa as he returns to Wakanda to take on a new threat.

While we don't know much about the plot, we do know that the film will feature some of our favorite characters from the first film, including Shuri, Nakia, and Okoye. We can also expect to see some new faces, as both Michael B. Jordan and Lupita Nyong'o are set to return.

Captain Marvel 2

Captain Marvel 2 is one of the most highly anticipated comic book movies of 2020. The sequel to the hugely successful first film, Captain Marvel 2 will see Brie Larson return as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel.


Aquaman 2

Aquaman 2 is one of the most highly anticipated comic book movies of all time. The original Aquaman movie was a huge success, grossing over $1 billion at the box office.


The Batman

There is a lot of excitement surrounding the upcoming Batman movie. The film is set to be released in 2021 and will star Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.

Fans are eager to see how Pattinson will portray the iconic superhero. The Batman is one of the most popular comic book characters of all time, and the role has been played by some very talented actors over the years. Pattinson is sure to bring his own unique take to the character.


The Suicide Squad

1. The Suicide Squad is one of the most anticipated comic book movies of 2020.

The movie is based on the DC Comics series of the same name. It follows a group of supervillains who are recruited by the government to carry out dangerous missions.

2. The Suicide Squad is set to be released in August 2020.

3. The movie is rated R for violence and language throughout.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home is one of the most anticipated comic book movies of 2021. The movie is a sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home and will continue the story of Peter Parker (Tom Holland) as he tries to adjust to life after the events of the previous movie.


2. The Batman

The Batman is another highly anticipated comic book movie that is set to be released in 2021. The movie will star Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and it will be directed by Matt Reeves.

The Batman will be a darker take on the character than previous movies. It is set to be released in March 2021.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is one of the most anticipated comic book movies of 2020. The movie is a sequel to the 2016 film Doctor Strange, and it will see Benedict Cumberbatch reprising his role as the titular character.



Thor: Love and Thunder

1. Thor: Love and Thunder is one of the most anticipated comic book movies of 2020.

2. Thor: Love and Thunder will be the fourth movie in the Thor franchise.

3. Thor: Love and Thunder will see Thor teaming up with his fellow Avengers to take on a new threat.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

1. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is one of the most anticipated comic book movies of 2021. The sequel to the 2018 hit Ant-Man and the Wasp, this movie promises to be even bigger and better than the first.

2. In the movie, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must once again don the Ant-Man suit to team up with Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) as the Wasp. The two heroes will face off against a new villain, Quantumania, played by Jonathan Majors.

3. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to be released in theaters on July 7, 2021. Fans are already eagerly anticipating this highly-anticipated movie.
