In this lesson I take you through the classic "Chitlins Con Carne" by the great Kenny Burrell. I teach you how to play the head in the lower and higher octave as well as show you the chords in each position. I also take you through how to solo and comp chords at the same time. I don't teach you his solo but use many of his concepts. Soloing strategies include pentatonics, the blues scale, arpeggios, mixolydian scales, altered dominant and melodic minor scales and harmony. This is perfect for the guitarist looking to start playing jazz as it is not too complex and is a standard 12 bar blues form in C.
