'Katha Kahe So Kathak' - a story teller - who would go from town to town, village to village narrating and dancing verses about the gods and goddesses. The origin of this dance form dates back to the 17th century when it was practiced in the temple. With the advent of Muslim rule, Kathak slowly moved from the temple to the court acquiring new characteristics along it's way.
